What is a Mass Notification System?

A Mass Notification System is a web-based Notification service, offering immediate and simultaneous one-to-many communications using wired and wireless communication devices (telephones, Short Message Service (SMS) devices and email). It provides automated and remote problem-solving capabilities to improve communication in large organizations. [INCLUDE A SENTENCE ABOUT THE SENDER HERE] It, in turn, enables the Recipient to immediately reply and confirm that the issues is now resolved and/or convey a new status condition to the sender and/or appropriate people and systems. The service provides a Recipient response functionality to close the communication loop between Initiator (sender) and Recipient (receiver). Messages may be sent to all communication devices at the same time, or in any defined order.

Briefly, the System:

Automatically delivers messages to telephony, SMS and email.

Tracks delivery of Notifications in real time.

Allows Recipients to select any number of predefined response choices.

Securely stores and manages user contact data.

Creates groups of users to better organize contacting Recipients.

Generates group Notifications to deliver different messages to different groups of Recipients and Devices.
